Jenette that is hilarious about the gym suits.. how crazy was that??? I have laughed so much reading these posts. I had forgotten alot of it. I think we were one of the first classes to have co-ed gym... i remember some wild square dancing and gymnastics and some really dangerous lacrosse and hockey with the boys whacking away at us.

I've had several requests for names to be placed under the photos from folks not able to make the reunion. Hopefully I was able to get most of them correct! Sorry for any errors.

Peggy, we missed you. Hope to see you at the next reunion!

Christine, thanks for the "visual-imagery" tour of MHS.

The field hockey got ugly because the guys swung their sticks around like baseball bats.. I think the gym teachers were really freaked out by the whole thing.

We used to put Lynn Holbreich in as goalie for soccer because nobody would dare go near her high-flying leg kicks, especially the guys. One time she kicked Andy Mouacdie in the wrong spot and he rolled on the ground for several minutes. She felt sooo bad, but I'm sure Andy felt worse!

That is so funny! Lynn was really limber!!! I remember her doing some wicked splits!

Lynn lives in Las Vegas now with her husband Ed and beautiful daughter Amanda . She has remained one of my dearest friends. Hoping she finds her way back to the east coast some day.

Thanks so much Sue and Andy and everyone who made this even possible. It was so much fun! and tremendous to see everyone!

Thanks also for those who brought up middle school and elementary school memories - that's where most of my recollections remain. How about JB and Kirk bringing those 4th grade yearbooks made in Mrs. Cunningham's class?? (I'm still trying to find a classmate who recalls Mrs. Hauser's heart attack in 3rd grade).

Take care, enjoy your holidays and your families, and stay in touch.

Hey, send your photos up to photobucket.com

I've emailed everyone the username and password so we can use the same central account.

What a blast! Great to see all of you and chat for a brief while.

I can't add much to what Chris Pestridge wrote about our walk through; The small, elite group referred to was Chris, my wife, Mary, my son, Steven and myself. Chris and I brought the magic with us and that made the event; my boy and my wife were caught up in the spell we two enchanters wove as we lured them through the halls of our precious keep. Chris and I looked into our freshman homeroom b-225 now, a-225; Miss Jerrold. David Reed, Lacey phelps, Greg Phillips, Heather Raymer, Robin Odence, Danny O'Oonnell, B A Nutter, Brendan O'Connor, to name a few. The many times I looked out that window into the hallway I never thought of a 49 year old man standing at the door looking back 30 years....enough of spells. Jill, I missed you; your kids and my kid, a next generation....thing. Well, you did warn me; maybe next time; it doen't have to be 5 more years I hope.

Jeff Braungart:
We might have been begun our friendship 30 years ago, I missed out.....In so many cases. Any way; Jeff, about what you said in the bar as I was leaving; you were right: How many of us shared the queen of dreams? Those of us who didn't raise their hands are liars or they dream about Salvaterra. Please, give your lovely Lisa my best and take care.

Before I forget.

Really.

See, I can spell..........

In most cases.

Some writer.... just a writer's ego.

Issues.

Great fun...everyone looked great!...Laughed and smiled the whole weekend...wish I could have spoken to more!

Posted my photos to the photobucket site, (and Facebook)...hope others will do the same!

Again, great to see everyone...! Kudos to those who planned and put thought into all of this...still hoping we don't have to wait until 35 to get altogether again!
If any of you are in Jupiter, FL - give me a shout. (Especially when you're all digging out from snow about January and February!)

John, Martha...and gang, ---I did do the high school tour, unfortunately on my own, as I couldn't make the 1:30 time slot! I took my 2 kids, and made them stand in front of my locker!...What a great high school we had...and the current students have!

Yes...carpe diem...! Have a great holiday everyone!

Hi Everyone!

Jill, what great pictures you've posted--such a nice selection. And Lisa, thanks for posting your pics, as well. You can tell everyone had a great time at the reunion.

Thanks to Sue Wilkins and Andy Cleff for bringing this website to all and for the wonderful reunion. This reunion was the best one ever! The banquet room was just perfect and the food was delicious. It was so good to see everyone and catch up on the last 30 years! Everybody looked great. We have such an awesome class.

Take care and I hope everyone has a happy and healthy holiday season!

Phyllis

OK, It's early in the month, but late for holiday plans. I'm just wondering if anyone in the South Jersey, greater Phila area is getting together for New Year's Eve. The last few years I've stayed home alone, but after having such a great time with all of you, I'd like to do something else - meeting up with friends new and old, any local First Night plans?

Just respond here on the forum or drop me a message. Thanks.

Hi everyone!

Awww, we're all fading into black again. I need more time with you guys. Yikes, I'm a little too old to process so many old friends into new friends in just one night. Another day would totally help strengthen the bonds, or at least put a few more people on the Christmas card list! After our wildly succesful 30th, I can't imagine any of us not wanting/needing more reunion! Before the door closes for the next five years I wanted to throw out an idea for one more little re-visit over the summer...

Do any of you know about "The Shell" on LBI? My daughter occationally sings there. The setup would be perfect for us. Right on the beach, tons of outdoor covered tables, a big Tiki Bar, a pool for the kids, entertainment that starts at 3 in the afternoon, it's also a motel....I think there might be a night club inside but never stayed that late. And, it's free ( there may be a cover charge on popular nights, idk, Julie sings on Mondays when it's not so busy). It's also just a walk to Bay Village. For those of us with teenagers, they would have a fine time, little kids could swim in the pool. No kids would be even more fun!

How about either the 2nd, <10-11-12>, or 3rd, <17-18-19>, weekend of July? Pick a day, or another idea, haha. I would be happy to help keep it organized by sending out monthly emails. Whatever it takes. I realize that it was a rediculous amount of work for Sue and Andy to bring our 30th reunion together, talking about summer fun is probably just a pipe dream at this point. But if I can help make it a reality, I'd sure like to do that.

The SEASHELL is a great place-Tiki bar, pool and ocean just over the dunes-just steps away is a very nice bed & breakfast-I would not recommend staying at the shell but the outside area is great with live music, pool, and great food. My brothers and I have been going there for years.

12/07/08 12:30 PM #307

Christine Pestridge

Count me in. Eric, what's the name of the bed & breakfast? Will need to check department schedule and that of two colleagues at the other division - have to work my time off around about 10 or 12 schedules. Any other recommended places to stay?

Jeanette, would love to hear your daughter sing. Will try to take following Monday and Tuesday off as well.

Also looking for anyone who wants to get together New Year's Eve. Some of us obviously don't want to wait five or even two years (turning that 50)!

Can't chat long. Making up time, because am going to see Spamalot on Broadway tonight - time to party in Manhattan!

Well, Jeanette My family and I will try to make it down. I can still swim. Pools are for kids. Call me Ishmael.

Marty,
You were my first high school crush, and I NEVER will forget you. You were such a BABE and such a SNOB, I was paralyzed. But the way it felt just saying "Hi" to you was so cool.
Thank GOD we've grown up,
The first drink - at Ott's - is on me!
Love you Rexon & Merry Christmas!!!!

Mr. Rhody, (Latin Student Update):
Was talking to my niece the freshman today. She's taking Latin II this year with Mrs. Edwardsen, who's gonig out on maternity leave, and it sounds like Magister Rhody will take her place while she's out.

Mr. Bill Kingston(US History/Tennis Coach):
Was looking up some of my old teachers, and found Mr. Kingston (US History) is still teaching at MHS and also coaches both the Boys and Girls Tennis Teams. He had a write up with two other South Jersey tennis coaches who had the most wins, and then Mr. Kingston and one other had the second most wins.

Could not find a complete teachers' list but recognized a few other names as well.

While googling Mr. Rhody found an article where my senior English teacher, Mrs. Betancourt was mentioned as doing home tutoring about 5 years ago.

Any other faculty updates?

Just wanted to check in and let everyone know that JB will no longer be the newest father in our class. Here's to 26 years of parenthood...and counting.
