Jill, I never met Wanamaker, The receptionist just dropped his name.

Any way; every one, the principle's office didn't get back to me. I know time grows short so I will tell them Saturday the 29th, They need to give me a minimum requirement and a cost if any. In the mean time, if you want to go use the forum, how many guests you will be bringing. Every one who wants to go to the high school for a tour (their word) or a walk through tell me here so I can call them with a number.

I'm sorry I won't be at the reunion, sounds like it will be alot of fun, also all the extras planned. Everyone have a great time and be safe. I do like the idea of a warmer reunion next time, maybe a weekend long event. Hope this continues to be a place for all to touch base.

Thanks for doing this website, Andy, and thanks for all of your work, Sue. I might be the only member of our class who doesn't actually own a computer and I'm not very good at using them! Sorry I can't make the reunion...have a wonderful time! I've enjoyed reading everyone's comments. I'm glad to hear that someone else remembers Andy Mouacdie's Jim Croce presentation. I think of it everytime I hear a Croce song on the radio. I have an old photo from 8th grade of the jazz band that features several members of our class including Brian Shapiro. It's good to know that he's not forgotten. I'll try to post the photo if I can figure out how to do it! It was great to see that Andy Simpson and Brendan O'Connor still have their great senses of humor. Can someone tell me if this really happened: I sat next to Brendan in Mr. O'Donnell's biology class in 10th grade. Did he really bring a loaded gun to school? I can picture it sitting there on top of his books and later he and some other guys were behind the gym shooting it off into the air. Did this really happen, or am I dreaming? (If it did happen, those were innocent times!) Finally, Kevin Berry, did you ever find David Foster? Take care, all!

Wow, what a treat it has been to read through these posts and to catch up with everyone, albeit virtually. We have a wonderful community, don't we, when connections from 30 years ago can be so quickly and genuinely updated?

Many thanks, Andy and Sue, for setting the reunion stage so beautifully. You've done a great job.

My sense is that this will be THE reunion of all time. Everyone seems to be in such good spirit! And the energy keeps growing, with additional events and rendezvous. I was so excited about attending, but I'm sorry that now, I cannot. Chatting with everyone and delivering some holiday hugs was something I could not wait to do. But, I'll stay tuned -- and stay in touch -- by way of this sizzling forum. I can't wait to hear all about the big weekend.

A happy and healthy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Be well,

Connie

It is sooo great to see so many posts flying in! Jill Wilkinson..and any others...remember Mrs. Chandler in 3rd grade, South Valley? She still has a place in my heart! You were my first kiss back then. Latin with Mr. Rhody? Dan O....Fran Femia was awesome. I was so intimidated freshman year with the lead in Guys and Dolls...Barry Welch....Joy Bardwell..Jim Webster...and of course Tina Marquez. I had to give up sports to be in the plays and it was a really hard choice. It really helped when so many of my class of "78 joined in an participated over the next years. Cast parties became just insane! I can't believe I will not be able to be at Ott's on Friday! You all have got to call me on my cell Friday from Ott's....253-232-7073....I can at least feel some part of it all. I agree also that we need to keep this MOJO flowin' More frequent get togethers..we're not gettin younger...well some of us anyway....lol...Everyone be safe, have a great time, and think of the rest of us miles away that think of the class of '78 almost daily. We had/have something special and need to pass it on to our kids and each other.

Take Care my "old friends"....Kevin

The school will be open from 8-6 Saturday November 29, the custodial staff will be there to "support a group visit". I was told to "Just show up at the front door". I imagine some sort of escort to keep us from vandalising the place. To be honest I don't know what to expect. My wife, My son and I will be there about 12:30PM to enter at 1:00 in case we want to go eat some where after(there being nothing to imply the offering of refreshments and no inquirries about specific time or size of group). Get my drift? Is that ok with every one; meet in the parking lot some time before 1:00?

I will be at memorial field Friday morning, football game or no. There is still a spirit about the place. Close your eyes, see the caps soaring and spinning. The sweet thunder as the cheer went up. Last week wasn't a bad day; it was a good, enriching kind of melancholy, I know a dreamer a romantic; I will apologize for other things but not for that.

Jill, just a thought; Why don't you call the high school and see what you can arrange, take it from some one who pulled a fast one on his Kindergarten teacher.(she probably sold the place by now.)MHS: (856)778-6610. If Mrs, Lord remembered me Wanamaker may remember you. You never know.

Umm...Ott's tonight anyone???...! I think my brother and I are going to try to head over there after dinner..!Although I'll try tomorrow too..we'll see.

Kevin I DO so remember Mrs. Chandler with her Texan accent - and I remember you in Guys and Dolls...such talent!!! ANd, I do remember the parties in your family room - the boy/girl parties as we used to call them. I think Andy Cleff and Debbie Martinelli could kiss forever! lol

(Thankfully - our kids I think are more restricted...although my daughter constantly grills me for info! - "MOM, what were you doing when you were in 10, 11th or 12 grade~, let alone, 9th grade!!"

My cell is 561-379-7651 I'm in TOWN! heading out to explore today...See you all soon...

Just called the high school...need approval from Asst. Principal, left messages for Steve Allen, custodian and principal...no one there was aware of anything pre-arranged...so I'll keep you posted.

There is a football game on Friday night with Holy Cross...that is at 6 pm...other than that nothing to report. If anyone else knows anything fill us in.

HOpe to see some of you around town.

WOW,
I go off line for a coupla days and (some of) you guys start with the magazine article posts. I'm not about to even try to compete.
So let me say just a few things for the record. Having spent most of my adult life in big cities, I really appreciate growing up in Good 'ol M'town. Sure MHS had it's warts, but high school is as much about learning to get along with people as much it is about anything else. There really is no substitute for friendship.
It's really nice - EXCITING - to see how many of you have taken the time to share your stories from back in the day. Thanks again Cleff!
Have a WONDERFUL TURKEY DAY!!!
p.s. Kevin B. we go back so far, I really can't say when we first started hanging out, only that it was long before color TV, Beta or VHS, the microwave, or even PUBERTY!
And just for the record: It WAS YOU who told me there was NO SANTA CLAUS!!!
Peace

Wow, is right... what a great time everyone one will have at the reunion!
Jill Marchione, never found out about David Foster, ok now how about this blast from the past... what ever happened to Trip Johnstone??? Remember he swam so much his hair turned green!
Clyde, can't believe I missed you this year when I was in Atlanta.... now the truth is you told us that Mr. Lucas kept the whole neighborhoods Christmas presents in their garage, until then we could never find the stuff... There had to be a Santa!! LOL. Hey what ever happened to Nick and his brother from "Friends" school?
Happy Thanksgiving to all. God Bless and be safe.

Wow...Where to begin? I just looked at the message board and can't believe all the posts. I only had time for a few, but they got me thinking about a lot of the things that we did in High School...

First of all to Cathy Loring. I seem to remember an unfortunate incident in gym class where I accidentally whacked you in the nose with my lacrosse stick. Blood was spilled on that day. Sorry! Did I break it?

Brendan: Good to see you seem to have the same sense of humor that I remember and I look forward to catching up with you at the reunion. I remember going to some sort of tower (the highest point in South Jersey?) with you and a few of our buddies (Cleff, Corbett, Sullivan, Gandalfo, etc, etc...) to enjoy a refreshing beverage and seeing you jump off the top. I looked down expecting the worst and was relieved to see you hanging by one hand from a railing. Good times...

Simpson: Good to see that you are coming in from the Islands. I remember the night before you left for the Merchant Marine Academy and we were at my house and you were kind of nervous about leaving and Springsteen came on the radio (The Fever - Live?) and it seemed to make you happy and you got all fired to go.

Sue (Susan) Wilkins: Remember the time we went to check out the potential places for our class trip? Me, you, Pocious(sp) and the other teacher who I can't remember (Esby?) We were in a tiny little plane, but it was my first (of many) business trips.

Anyway, I remember so much and at the same time, so little.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the first reunion I will attend and I promise to come to the sixty year reunion, as well. It will be in the Virgin Islands at Simpson's house.

John is totally correct - I guess a miscommunication with high school personnel. Apparently Asst. Principal says everything is set to go.

Fred-the-new-guy: ;-)

The tower was the Mt. Holly fire tower. We pre-saged David Letterman's dropping-of-stuff-off-the-roof schtick by dropping empty quarter-kegs (and Brendan) from the tower. I think Chris Salvatare was there, too -- at least one of the times. I know that I climbed that tower with Brendan on more than one occasion.

Oooooh, fun. I hadn't noticed this before (maybe Andy C. just activated it?), but now you can post comments on classmate's profile pages. Fun, yet very dangerous in the hands of the wrong people . . .

Happy Thanksgiving all. Having a low key Thanksgiving this year. Just watching the parade on the tube as my child bride tries her hand cooking her first turkey. Wish me luck. See you tomorrow, all. Wish I could make it to Ott's. Seems like a bunch of you will be ariving at the reunion pre-pickled.

Hey Y'all.
Bump the LA-LA, my mother is from Georgia, and my dad was a tarheel. My old lady is a tarheel too - by proxy - she went to UNC. I'm just a country boy, who still loves good friends, good times & rock and roll!!!

I'm rocking some Aerosmith "Pink" and pretending I'm not older than DIRT. No matter, I'm still here. Bob Seger would be proud!!!

Once again, all of you who are BLESSED enough to be there tomorrow, have a BLAST. And would someone - Martha Rex - maybe, have one for me...

Love Yous Guys,
Clyde

Love you too, Cleffbo!!! Great job with this website!!!

Cheers to you Clyde! And to all that will not be able to make it this trip. Next time.
I hope some brings a camera, to ott's and the football game, the school tour, and Fri night so they can post them on this site.

Hi everyone!
Great site - I have enjoyed reading the messages.
I didn't think I would be able to make it to the reunion since we were visiting family out of town until saturday. Plans changed and we are getting home friday late afternoon.
Too late for a ticket - but would love to catch up with people after the reunion or on saturday.

Have a great time!

Hi everyone. I am so excited to see so many of you at the reunion. Nancy, I remember drinking at Eddies bar when we were 15 or 16! .. and otts and the jade... and my parents were strict.. dont know how we did it. The world has changed so much. Jill, remember working at the nursing home? Leanne J worked there too. We laughed and laughed. Where is Judy Fix? Wendy R do you know? I remember Judy was learning martial arts and I offered to be a demo and she threw me clear across the room. I remember driving around alot.. gas was cheap.. and lacrosse.... so fun.. but so much of it is a blur!
