So far it's seven for football, maybe Friday morning. Let's be carefull; the lower fields on the left are used for dog walking, the football field is as I said a soccer field plus you need a cert from the township to use it if we're caught (oooohh!).There hasn't been many responses to any other subjects yet.

Dan, Dave; I'll check with the school about a minimum group for a tour if three and our guests make a group, unless if no one else responds you just want to forget it.

Dave, Dennis' name wasn't on the directory when I called.

This goes back to middle school.I remember Mr. Mullen and his hip outfits and 70's hair. He was a nice guy. Remember when Andy Muaccti did a slide show about Jim Croche anyone? It was touching.

Thanks to Susan's email today, I checked out the forum. I've been reading now for a couple of hours, catching up.

Luanne, while I have no doubt that Brendan jumped out of a window in high school (that would have been tame for him), if you were in Mrs. Fine's English class, you might be recalling the time I did it. Mrs. Fine accused us of being too stuck in a rut, so when the class ended, I exited through the window. She was a nut.(Remember her sensuous box of Kleenex?: Mrs. Fine: "Does this remind you of a penis?" Members of the class, to each other, under their breath: "Did she just say penis?") I figured out that she said and did things just to get a reaction from us so I deliberately stopped showing any emotion at all in class. I had told my parents my theory and what I was doing. Before long, she called my parents in to tell them how worried she was about me. I also got an A from her for the report I had to do on the imagery in Moby Dick. I skipped the official version and wrote it from a picture book version.

English was never my strong suit -- I took two years of that ridiculous alternative English class at MHS where we learned nothing but got passing grades. Given that background, it's hard to believe that I actually make my living writing legal briefs -- and I really enjoy it.

Clyde, what little I remember of Brendan's antics at Corbett's wedding involves his detonation of a smoke grenade in Fred's honor. Allegations that Brendan stole the grenade from the Army are simply that.

As for a warm reunion, we can do that at my house any time of the year (hurricanes permitting) and it would only be fitting since I never got to have a true Moorestown party at my house (because brother Mark, Pete Cleff, Jeff Klien, Jeff Dever and gang ruined it for me. After Mark's party, my parents never left us alone for more than 18 hours). The 'rents still live in the same house on the corner of Springhouse Lane and Haines Drive and that's where I'll be staying, getting in Tuesday and leaving early Sunday.

Brendan O'Connor

Andy,
So let me get this straight...party at your parent's house after the reunion as long as we are cleaned up within 16 or so hours?
I'll bring the keg...Sully..you bring fire (half-man, cro-mag)...Russel Brown bring the brownies, Cleffers and Rican bring the Bacardi, Monahan bring quarters and a cup , Becker bring your whole leg cast, Corbett you bring the BB gun, Costello bring the thesarus, Sal & Braungart the 442, Joe DeShan... you drive, Clyde bring a spare key to the bathroom and a pillow

Andrew Simpson

Brendan, LOL. My folks are home (as will be all of my brothers and sisters and their families) so it's going to be too crowded to party there -- and too cold to hang out outside. I suppose we could all go down to The Bench at Memorial Field and drink from a keg while freezing our butts off -- that would bring back some memories that I thought were long gone with my dead brain cells.

I was proposing that the warm weather reunion that some have requested be at MY house in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands.

This one goes out to anyone who can remember a certain SS teacher when we were in 11th grade. Does anyone remember Mr. Abdul Bey? OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets see, I do remember Jeff Masters in that class but my mind is a little fuzzy now a days. We would sit in class and count the times he would say his pet words. I wish I could recall all of them right now. Does anyone remember those delightful and educational words of wisdom he used over and over and over and over again. That was a fun class. Mr. Bey was a horrible teacher and I think he only lasted one year.
This one goes out to Ed Magargee. Or should I say Dr. Magargee. Hey dude, do you remember the time in Ms. Fonte's health class when you pulled my chair out from under me and I went crashing to the floor on my butt. I was so pissed at you. Of course you were all apologetic with your kind words and cute smile but I wanted to f---- kill you! But, I have forgiven you for that stunt, it has taken me 30 years but I did it. No, just kidding! Actually I was mad at myself for getting so mad at you and I was so embarrassed I took it out on you. Sorry dude!
This goes out to all my Cheerleading friends and Lacrosse Friends. Where are you? Get on this page and write back. We have alot of stories to share. Not to mention Ms. Esby and her wonderful ways of coaching.
To may dear friend Nancy Trought, do you remember eating everyones left over lunches. Hey, are you going to finish that? Sounds gross I know, but everyone else had better lunches.
To Sue Wilkins, our president. You were the best. I always admired your calm personality, and your great athleticism. We were a damn cool class. Since I was so into the sports and cheering stuff winning the Spirit Jug was a big deal for me. Ohhhhh the good old days! Decorating the halls, practicing our skits, making posters, getting ready for the big Pep Rally. That was all fun stuff for me.
I can't sign off until I mention dear Mr. Rizos. Scott Deasey drove him crazy in US History class. My dad said, well you don't want me as your History teacher so I'm getting you into Rizos's class. I'm like, no way daddy-o he is so tough, I'll fail for sure. Well, I think I passed with a C, and it was a tough class but Mr. Rizos made it fun. In case you do not know he died about 2 or 3 years ago. He was a great guy and a good friend to my dad.
How can I sign off now without mentioning Mr. Frank Pocius. I was horrible at math. I mean baaaaaad at it. But, for some strange reason I got all A's from Hocus Pocius. Could it be that I would talk about our class of 78 with him, since he was our advisor, and get him off track. That was pretty easy to do with him. All I know is that class brought up my GPA for that year. HaHa!
Well I guess I will sign off for now, got to get ready for another EAGLES game. Yeh, they are doing so well this year. LOL!
Bye for now...........

Andy Simpson - love the idea of a reunion in the warm weather!!! When is that again? Not during our hurricane season I hope! I think Clyde Gaylord is proposing an annual get together...!!!

Cathy Loring...I agree about Mr. Pocius...I think he was advisor because of all you cute cheerleaders!...Oh, and I had Mr. Rizzo...I actually liked history..but he was hard. I was actually bummed I never had your dad for a class...

And did I read right that Mr. Wanamaker is still teaching?...when is that tour of the HS, can I bring my 15 and 12 year olds since they think I don't know anything? (They still can't believe we didn't have cell phones and computers...and what's UHF?) I think Mr. W was more stoned than any of us in class! Or at least that's what we thought with his blood shot eyes...but I did actually like trig!

And Danny O with your cute wife...(that could be our daughter)..umm..in FL it's the other way around...at least sometimes - they call us Cougars! lol ; - )))

Anyone remember the Latin fest ORGIES? Where the freshmen 'onsies' (as the Latin 1's were called) were sold as slaves to the upperclassmen? And we had to show up in sheets!!! Mr. Rhody was a trip -- or definitely ADD - Sue Wilkins thanks to you for saving me in class...and Greg Phillips and Rich McL - didn't we used to write our answers on our shoes and then do the shoe-turnover for answers?!? How about our trip to Rome?

Well...off to pack for M-Town..My parents told me it's 22 degrees for those coming in from the South! Yikes, where are my socks and shoes?

Sue -- when do you get in? Since you said you never went to Ott's you're going to have to go now!We all owe you a beer and Andy Cleff too!

David Reed

John/All,

Typing quickly so forgive the errors. Need to fly into LaGuardia early this afternoon then back Monday night. 3 more US flights prior to heading up to Philly on Thursday morning. In view of this unlikely going to be checking email or "the board" again prior to reunion. Let's bag out on the MHS tour unless there is broader interest. I really appreciate all of your efforts around this.

Not sure if bringing the lap top on Thanksgiving weekend as ultimately it leads to email which leads to work which leads to an unhapy wife. Will have the cell on (727) 643-7331 thus do let me know if anything is coming to fruition prior to the reunion. Checking into HQ hotel on Thursday & there until very early Sunday morning departure.

It has been a blast reading all of the memories. See you all later this week. Be well and travel safely.

OK, this is for the ladies: SWMBO wants to know what the dress code is for this thing. Dress down, up, cross-dress, or what?

11/23/08 07:53 PM #229

John Nardelli

Jill, I'm going to call the school tomorrow about the tour for Saturday the 29th. I'll have more information by the afternoon.

Yes, Mr. Wanamaker is still there the receptionist told me herself.

Susan Wilkins (Johnson)

Andy - Dress as you like but as I have said to Brendan...many times...pls do dress!

Jill - Otts??? hummmm...maybe...Heading to OC for Turkey Day then up to Mtown Friday...maybe I could do "just one" say 4pm Friday...just for posterity of course...

Brendan O'Connor

Andy,
SWMBO?

11/23/08 09:04 PM #232

Brendan O'Connor

Meg Mcilvaine Kendrick

Was it not Andy Mouacdie accompanied by Pete Romano on guitar?

11/23/08 09:10 PM #233

Brendan O'Connor

Sue Wilkins Johnson,
Methinks Andy Simpson is inferring that he will be a SWMBO i.e. Single White Male Breathing Onions, or maybe a Sloshed Wombat Mixing Beer w/ Ouzo

Brendan: She Who Must Be Obeyed

Any married guy ought to know that. But then I checked your profile and found out that Shawn Sullivan is your spouse/partner . . .

11/24/08 08:39 AM #235

Jill Wilkinson

Laughing Out Loud...

I say Brendan should dress like his latest profile photo ; - ))) ..and Andy- tell your spouse...(it's cold in Mtown...to bring her tights and socks!) - The sexy strappy stuff we wear in the warm weather/with sandals---I don't think will cut it!

So I'm guessing it's cocktail attire? Is that fair game Mrs. President? And, Danny O - I say you need to dress in the bikini in your photos!!!

11/24/08 09:30 AM #236

Jill Wilkinson

Hey John - Do you think Mr. Wanamaker remembers us?

11/24/08 10:42 AM #237

Christine Pestridge

Andy, I asked Sue about dress, and she said she'd be wearing a dress or slacks with blouse. I've decided on slacks and a dressy top. Cocktail attire sounds like a good bet.

Well folks, I too have skipped Ott's so far, and I believe I'm missing a Moorestonian rite of passage, so I would like to join in that if it comes to pass. Am working a half day on Friday so afternoon would be fine.

John, I'd be open to a Saturday tour to MHS. There've been changes, and I'd like to see what they've done.

I'm glad someone mentioned Magister Rhody and Latin class, and English with Mrs. Fine. I had Bill Kingston for US History. He who spoke in a monotone. Trying to stay awake was a challenge (especially with a person from Latin class trying to gossip in my ear - comparing the corduroy king - Kingston with the fashion plate, Rhody) and any attempts at a joke were made with a very strange leer on his face. Anyone else remember that look?

11/24/08 01:29 PM #238

David Reed

Wow this board is banging away. Bev Schwinn you are an unbelievable talent. What absolutely great drawings. Hope you are able to get tix to join the reunion somehow. If not sounds like Ott's is going to be a Friday afternoon get together (waiting for confirmation). I do not drink but may be there for the nostalgia.

Killing time in Newark airport as flying back South.

I do remember Mr. Rhody. Simps sat near me I believe as a onsie in Professor Rhody's class. I also remember our 1st year Latin play.

Kenny G. do you remember Senior Cut Day hanging on the beach? Actually passing out on the beach. Better yet do you remeber our jaunts to the Poconos for ski trips and to McDonald's demanding they pull Musto out of the kitchen on a Friday night so that he could get off from work and join us? Pretty amazing times.

11/24/08 02:13 PM #239

Daniel O'Donnell

Hey, does anyone remember an underclassman by the name of Kevin Chamberlain? I think his brother was in our class. Anyway, I knew him pretty well from the school plays and because he became good friends with my sister Carole (one of the five). He became a rather successful actor. The last I heard of him, he was playing Horten in Horten hears a Who on Broadway. Well, I was watching a movie on TV not long ago called "Lucky Number Slevin" and there he was, playing a cop. I looked him up on IMDB, and his resume is rather impressive. Anybody know of anyone else from our school who got famous?

11/24/08 03:34 PM #240

Cathy Loring (Manning)

Jill - I do remember Latin class, and I do remember the Latin Banquet. My sister was the scribe and she bought me at the orgy. I thought, COOL, my sister won't make me work to hard. WRONG.........she was harsh. I had to take care of the whole table of elites on stage. Oh well, it was a blast. I did not go to Rome, and I am still kicking myself for not going. Bye!
